Job Overview An emergency medical facility in Nebraska, located near Greenwood, is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens role. Position Details Shift Schedule: Primarily midshifts, with an 8 to 8.5-hour duration, ensuring a balanced work schedule Weekend Requirements: Required Support and Staffing: Single-physician coverage with Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) support Chart co-signing required for APCs Patient Load: Emergency Department sees a mix of inpatient and outpatient visits with a broad range of cases Responsibilities: Routine ER duties with minimal trauma care responsibilities Codes management and emergency response as required No rounding or on-call duties outside scheduled shifts Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC system with Dragon dictation for streamlined charting Requirements Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine; Family Medicine physicians with at least 10 years of ER experience will be considered Licensing: Active Nebraska license preferred, but candidates willing to obtain one are welcome Certifications: Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required Malpractice History: Clean record preferred Additional Details The role provides the opportunity to work within a modern emergency department, manage a diverse patient base, and collaborate with a capable team.
