Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Reports to: Practice Manager/Dr. Cimino

Job Functions:

Performing and overseeing all aspects of nuclear lab operations pertaining to testing, processing, quality control and quality assurance in the lab.
Preps patients to include IV insertion and EKG lead placement.
Injects radioisotopes according to exam warranted.
Performs nuclear medicine scans to include acquisition, processing, display and archiving.
Participates in stress testing and aids in monitoring patient.
Adheres to State, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and Occupational Safety and Health ACT (OSHA) standards

Communicates clearly and concisely with patients, coworkers and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
ARRT certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
One to two years’ experience in Nuclear Cardiology preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Intermittent and/or frequent physical activity including walking, sitting, standing, reaching, bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
