Immanuel Pathways PACE is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work atPathways Central Iowa located at 7700 Hickman Road, Windsor Heights, IA 50324. You mainly will work with our Pathways participants in our center location; however, you will also be delivering in-home cares at the participant's personal homes.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with no Weekends or Holidays.

Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

What You Will Do

Provides physical therapy services to participants of the Immanuel Pathways under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Provides clinical physical therapy treatment for program participants on acute, restorative or maintenance levels as needed by Participant Center, Nursing Home or in-home setting. Administers physical agents utilized in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as directed by the Physical Therapist. Directs non-professional staff assigned to assist with participant physical therapy. Communicates participant progress to the Physical Therapist and documents response to treatment program.

Skills & Requirements

Graduate of accredited Physical Therapist Assistant School with an Associate Degree required.

One (1) year of experience working with the frail or elderly population required, or completion of job specific training related to working with the elderly population must be completed within the first six months of hire.

Six (6) months work or internship experience in acute or rehabilitation Physical Therapy.

Must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
